• ✦Quantitative Aptitude — number system, percentage, ratio & proportion, average, interest, profit & loss, discount, partnership, mixture & alligation, time & distance, time & work, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, heights & distances, data interpretation (bar, pie, histogram)
• ✦English — spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms/antonyms, spellings, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, sentence improvement, active/passive, direct/indirect, sentence shuffling, cloze test, comprehension
• ✦General Awareness — current affairs, history, culture, geography, economy, polity, general science, India and neighbouring countries
• ✦Computer (Tier 2) — computer basics, memory & devices, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint, internet & e-mail, e-banking, networking and cyber security
• ✦Paper II Statistics (JSO only) — data presentation, central tendency, dispersion, correlation & regression, probability, distributions, sampling, inference, ANOVA, time series, index numbers
• ✦Paper III Finance & Economics (AAO only) — accounting basics, CAG, Finance Commission, micro economics, Indian economy, reforms since 1991, money & banking, budget, FRBM Act

6Marking Scheme & Selection

• ✦Tier 1: +2 for each correct answer, −0.50 for each wrong answer
• ✦Tier 2 Maths/Reasoning/English/GA: +3 per correct, −1 per wrong
• ✦Tier 2 Computer: +3 per correct, −1 per wrong; DEST is qualifying only
• ✦Tier 1 is qualifying; final merit is based on Tier 2
